I’m learning that when you have an idea the best thing to do it take action as soon as possible. And the best action is MASSIVE action…am I right? Well I’m about to lay down a massive content syndication strategy that will blow your mind.
Let me back up a sec and tell you what I just discovered…
Remember the 9/11 tribute post I did with a few blogging friends a couple weeks ago? Yeah it was pretty epic.
I had a ton of fun with that tribute collaboration post, and I was able to further the relationship with my fellow bloggers while gaining some serous link juice and Google love. So naturally…I want more and I’m inviting you to join me on this epic journey…quest sort of thing.
First Let me share with you what content syndication is and how you can build your own strategy that works for you. It doesn’t matter what industry or niche you are in, once you understand these concepts you can build an online empire around any idea that your passionate about.
Content Syndication Strategy in Three Phases
1. Self Syndication – Self Syndication is the act of sharing your own content across your social sites. Easy enough right? Well there are a few things you should consider when laying out your plan of action. What type of content you are going to be creating and who are you creating it for. Once you have figured out your passion and you understand what people are looking for, you can literately feed them your content and they will actually thank you for it.
Heck…they may even opt into your list and actually buy something! That wouldn’t be to bad now would it? So post your brand new piece of value on Facebook, Twitter and especially to your list. This is the way to continue to provide value and serve your communities.
2. Group Syndication – Arguably my favorite as this is actually where I got my start. See I understood the value of reciprocation very early. If I were to go to other peoples blogs and “buzz their content” could they come to mine and do the same. Well as you can see this social media tribal syndication concept has caught on big time. Over the last 3 years everyone seems to be speaking tribe.
The easiest way to build your tribe is to find other bloggers who are sharing similar content that you would share. By finding people in your niche you will be able to comment, syndicate like type content and Google loves this! For more information on this killer content syndication strategy take a look at a post I did about the 6 reasons to create a blogging alliance.
3. Auto Syndication – This is where the rubber meets the road. I thought the blogging alliance thing was good, but take a look at what can happen when you have upped the game 10 levels. When you start adding cool toys like Onlywire and Tribe Pro to you content syndication strategy it’s like GAME ON! But there’s a caution…a waring flag if you will. This strategy should be established after you have mastered the first two. Reason is you want and need a decent following on your social sites and preferably on your list.
Also make sure you have people leaving comments and who are manually buzzing your content so you are showing some credibility in Google’s eyes. If you are gaining to many social bookmarking shares before you are ready then big daddy Google may sandbox your site and that’s not a good thing. This means the only love you’ll get to your blog is from the first two syndication methods…OUCH!!
21 Days to Create Your Ultimate Content Syndication Strategy
Here’s the dealio!
I’ll be publishing one post a day about a different content syndication tip for the next 21 days. So for those who are into blogging or video or content creation of any kind you will want to grab as many tips as you can over the next thee weeks.
What I’m offering and why. I’m wrapping up a new product, launching real soon, and I’m giving away tips all around content syndication while the cart is open. Then I’ll be closing down the cart and letting the “beta members” play around in my 4 week course. Their goal is to poke holes, test the modules, leave comments, find like minded bloggers and just beat the crap out of it. They are also going to get the change to be the leaders (go to people) and super affiliates when I re-launch the product at almost 6 times the cost.
I’m looking to create a huge buzz factor around content syndication. (I might get tired typing that word for the next 21 days)
So what’s in it for you. Well I’m glad you asked. See I’ve been testing out Tribe Pro for the last week or so and it’s been working really well, I’m getting almost 1000 social book marking shares per post I submit. Over the next few weeks that will most likely increase. Since Google is moving towards a more social traffic methodology this is a really good thing.
If you remember that 9/11 tribute post and the follow up video, you can get a sense of what I’m up to. I’m going to be giving you a heads up on all the topics and give you opportunity to obtain 2 links per post back to you…IF you have a post that has similar content to the topics listed below.
Let me say that again… if you already have or want to create a blog post on the same topic that I’ll be creating, I am offing to add your post as a link from my post. Again check out my 9/11 tribute post as a reference and you’ll see what I mean. Pretty cool huh? I want to test my little theory I stumbled across on a larger scale…say over the next 21 days…I think you get the point.
3 Ways You Can Benefit From This Crazy Content Syndication Strategy!
1. leave a comment on my blog post. For the first five comments on that days post, I will visit that persons last blog post, leave a comment and syndicate every way possible that is listed on your blog. I will only comment and syndicate your post once, so if you leave a comment two days in a row on two different blog posts of mine, and your last post has not changed in those two days your comment will not count as one of the five for that day. I will move to the next comment and check their blog.
2. Join the blog collaboration. Send me a link to a post that matches with any of the topics listed below. If you don’t have a post on that topic then create one and send it to me. If you’re in the Facebook Empowered Tribe group leave it there or email it to kenpickard@yahoo.com. PUT IN THE SUBJECT LINE “TRIBE POST.” The first 5 posts will be part of that days collaboration post. If I use your post…not only will I syndicate that post with every syndication button you have, but I will also add it to my tribe pro account for additional exposure for this content syndication strategy. Again the benefits of that alone are almost 1000+ social bookmarks shares!
3. Back link back to my post. If you are going to create a post for this massive syndication campaign and it falls in line with any of the topics listed below, then back link back to that days post. If you create a link back to my post AND IT’S OF THE SAME TOPIC as my post I will give you a DOUBLE DOSE of tribe pro syndication…to a post of your choosing! Follow my tribe “The Network Dad’s – Empowered Tribe” to watch all the action.
DOUBLE DOSE OF CONTENT SYNDICATION!
As you can see this will be an amazing content syndication strategy will become my latest masterpiece and I want to bring as many people with me as humanly possible!
So why would you want to engage with this lunacy? And I’m positive some of you are thinking just that…lunacy. Well, I was told the tribe syndication model (almost 2 1/2 years ago) was lunacy. People would not want to share other peoples content before their own. And they wouldn’t want to share posts about someone else’s affiliate products or network companies either.
Really?
A simple idea of paying it forward and showing bloggers how they could get their brand new blogs from ghost town to active Friday night downtown, morphed into a concept that levels the playing field and is a MUST for all bloggers.
Additional benefits. If you join The Network Dad’s – Empowered Tribe in Tribe pro you will receive constant syndication from me to all your posts. Sign up for my newsletter there and receive trainings on how you can best set up your tribe pro account and how you can leverage it to the max.

Ken, So much value here I found myself reading it twice. I’m loving what you’re doing and at some levels, I would like to participate.
One of the things you mentioned and I’m going to be talking about it myself in a blog post soon, is something I just learned which was not to have tons of backlinks to a new blog. This is exactly how I got a blog sandboxed and didn’t know what I did.
I always love hearing what you have to say with regards to blogging and tribing. I’ll be back for more. I wouldn’t miss.

Hi Ken,
The article is very interesting. I found it as Debbie Turner posted it and it ended up on my FB page. I would love to get into it right now but I think it is a little ahead of where I want to be yet. But keep me in the loop.
I just have a capture page started for GRN and my blog (which I gave you the website for) is still in the works. Still a ways to go yet.
Deanna Evertt
Deanna,
The good thing about information like this is it will still be here when you are ready for it. Take what you need and leave the rest until later. Stop by any time and let me know what I can do to help.
Ken
Hi Ken,
I think this is a great Blogger collaboration project and hats off to you for initiating your content syndication strategy. I would be looking to participate with certain aspects of your program.
Raj,
Shoot me an email for any of the open collaboration posts. i would love to receive your content.
Ken
Very useful information Ken. This is a great refresher course for me!
Thanks Chrystal. I hope you like the rest of the series.
Ken
What a post, my head is spinning! Literally!
I know for a fact that by sharing other people’s content that it will come back to you two fold. I have been experiencing the very same thing this year with my content Ken so I know for a fact that it works.
I will definitely look forward to your post you’ll be sharing with us for the next 21 days. Although I am proud of myself for having learned quite a bit, I still consider myself a work in progress. So guess I’ll be back soon.
Thanks Ken for this awesome content and I wish you the best of luck with this!

Adrienne,
You have certainly build a rock star brand for yourself already! You should congratulate yourself for that. You have taken the tribe concept of paying it forward and have amassed an incredible following.
Ken
As usual, you’ve done it again! This is an awesome idea. As yo know I’ve been with the Empowered Tribe since it started and it was a good run. Now, as all things change, you are changing it up too as a more powerful syndication. This is why I am always in your corner Ken. Your ideas work! Thanks for doing this, it is awesome!
Donna
Awww…thanks Donna!
You have always been a huge supporter of the tribe concept. I think that just shows your true character for helping others. I’m always open to learning and sharing new ideas and seeing what works and what doesn’t.
Ken
Ken, what an incredible idea. I would love to participate. I know that social votes are becoming increasingly more important to Google, and this is such a perfect way to increase the juice to everyone’s blogs. A team effort always wins the day. Thanks again for your creativity!
Thanks Melinda for stopping by and sharing your thoughts. Yes the “tribe” concept works really well. Everyone wins! Shoot me a relevant post to kenpickard@yahoo.com
Ken
This was brilliant and whatever you’re doing: I WANT IN! Finally I feel as if I am in on the beginning of something awesome and instead of catching it at the tail end. This information was priceless and if you want a beta tester, I am ready and willing to help, comment, dissect and contribute as best as I can. You have my mouth watering for more! Great post! Coming back for more!
Thanks Sonia!
Shoot me “relevant content” to kenpickard@yahoo.com. The relevant part is important. If you find a “collaboration post” above in the topic section and you want to write a post around that topic then I would love to link to it.
I’ll also be doing a recap of these collaboration series on my Facebook fan page.
Ken
I will work on this for you asap!
Awesome Sonia…BRING IT!
Hi Ken,
Wow, now that’s what I call a content syndication strategy! The part where you broke down what syndication is was loaded with valuable tips. And you’ve mentioned some cool toys I have yet to try out.
With where Google is heading by giving more weight to social signals as a ranking factor, it won’t be long before content lacking social buzz will disappear into the ether. Social Search Engine Optimization is the new SEO, so ignore syndication at your own peril!
I’m really looking forward to contributing to the ‘mess’ you create over the next few weeks.
Michaelé
Michaele,
Thanks for your comments. God quality content is just the start. Many bloggers just don’t have a plan let alone a strategy to get their good content seen. Unless you already have that “Rock Star” brand you must create a strategy to get more eyeballs back to your site.
I agree that social buzz will be the new SEO.
Ken
Hi Ken,
I love the subject matter and I especially love the strategy you are using. It’s a brilliant idea to make a list of your planned posts in the series and then link to them as they go live. Wish I had thought of it!
Looking forward to the rest of the series!
Bob,
Thanks for your comment. Yes a series of posts on a certain subject serves a couple of awesome purposes. Interlinking, setting up a table of contents, allowing others to support and join in your list of posts and create a pillar or cornerstone on your blog. This last one I’ll go into more detail later.
Ken
Hey Ken
Like some people who have posted and commented here I am revisiting a lot of this information as it makes much more sense the second or third time around and there are always new insights and distinctions I certainly didn’t get!
Sadly as I’m not so much a blogger about social media strategies I’m not sure how I can benefit from collaborating in the syndication strategy you have planned here other than just commenting etc because I love you and know that what you are teaching is AWESOME!!
You said you’d be doing one post a day for 21 days…unless I’m blind have you not done that? I imagine that would be a LOT to achieve but perhaps you did and I just can’t locate them all on your bog here?
I’d love you to talk about trackbacks and pings… something I’ve never understood and always wonder when I get a notification on my blog whether I should accept that or delete in my back office?
Much love XXX
Sandhan your comments are always inspiring and straight to the point!
You are correct and my goal was to do a post a day for 21 days. I quickly realized (when life ad tech issues) get in the way, some goals need to be adjusted. The purpose for making this goal as big as possible was to motivate myself into massive action. I will be posting more often than not…you can bank on that!
Ken
Hi Ken,
I look forward to following your series and creating a solid plan of action for myself.
I sent you an email for one of your upcoming posts.
Thank you. I have been blogging for 7 years now and I’m the kind of person who thinks you have to “do it all yourself”. I’ve realize just how important connections in the blogosphere are… and I’ve started jumping into collaborations with others, as well as trying to figure out this whole syndication tribe thing.
Jackie recently posted..Are You a Connector or a Collector?
Jackie,
Welcome to the community…aka…The tribe! I know you’re part of the facebook group now so you’ll be able to meet some other bloggers there as well. I love the tribe concept as see it as a way to level the playing field for new bloggers in growing their brand and presence online. The collaboration efforts i started almost three years ago had a two fold concept.
Bloggers would share each others content and help each other with sharing new marketing tips, plugins issues on their blog ect. The mastermind effect had a shortening of the common learning curve. Our first blog groups quick grew from 5 people to 14 groups of 8-10 which met weekly, syndicating and sharing new tips each had learned that week.
The battle cry was that your blog doesn’t need to be a ghost town and that you didn’t need to learn this all by yourself. So I can feel your pain! Now there are hundreds of tribes and syndication groups all over the net.
But you are a pro at this…blogging for 7 years. I can’t wait to learn some tips from you. What are some of your favorite marketing strategies?
Ken
This looks like an amazing project and I would love to be a part of it. Have subscribed to your site so that I can see what you are up to.

Debbie,
Welcome to my blog and thank you for subscribing. Let me know if you have any content or want to create any content to add in the upcoming collaboration posts. I’ll check out your blog as well. I also have a Facebook group where bloggers can meet others and create groups in their niches. Shoot me a Facebook friend request and add the note TRIBE GROUP and I’ll get you in.
Cheers,
Ken
This is a lot of information to take in. Wow! You are going to crash Google. LOL! The best of luck with your venture. I was in a tribe for over a year and I learned so many valuable things. When I first starting blogging I had no idea what a plugin was. And it has also been interesting to watch the changes people have gone through. People who came on line around the same time I did – and to see what they are doing now and what they are blogging about. The transformations are incredible. Keep it clean, un-spammy and respect the email box like you are knocking on someone’s door and you will go far. We have to be invited to send someone an email. That is my take on it. Namaste – Nicole~
Nicole,
Haha…I would be so lucky to get Google’s attention that way! But thanks for the vote of confidence. Actually I do have a linking strategy and method for all these posts and it’s working pretty well so far. But round two is coming up real soon.
As you mentioned, there have been a lot of changes within our blogging communities. Transformations have led to huge personal break troughs. For instance, when I coach new bloggers I really make sure they have their passion purpose laid out. This way they have a good shot and keeping up with their blog when it looks like its not affective. Everyone hits their doubt but when they are “in the game” by being present in their own passion, then they can weather that storm.
How do you see yourself transforming your blog? Do you have your passion and purpose? Have you aligned yourself with a bigger cause? Let me know what I can do to help.
Ken
excellent!! very instructive for beginners, but I dont understand by group syndication

Ken, I know that this post is a bit old, but the concepts are timeless when it comes to doing what is right as a blogger. The bottom line is that what we give away is what we get to keep. You have given such great value here and shared how we can syndicate our content and give to others who are creating content as well. Thanks so much for this. I will definitely be back!!
