Not Your Average Blogging Challenge

A while back I wrote a post called “Goal Winning VS Goal Setting.”  It was all about how you look at and tackle your goals. Well today starts a new chapter in my latest goal of a 90 Day Blogging Challenge. Most people would start with a 30 day challenge to build a blog or get their new blog off the ground while taking a stab at this whole blogging thing. This blog challenge is about resurrection, change in purpose and sharing some behind then scenes blogging strategies.

This trifecta of 30 day challenge sessions will also allow us to connect more, provide details around blogging your passion and leveraging social media and video to crush the year end rush with a blitz of value. You see, I’ve just realized one of my biggest passions and well…I can’t wait to share it with you. Might sound kinda corny, but this journey – this blogging challenge – is the very push I need to share with you the vision, passion and purpose that I feel every online marketer needs to have. And that’s to find YOUR voice and give it some LIFE and SHARE it with the world!

What Can You Expect to See During This 30 Day

Blogging Challenge?

For starters, I will be sharing with you my latest product called “Content Syndication Supremacy.” I’ll be dripping out some cool tips I’ve learned about syndication over the last 2 years.  I will also be showing you some behind the scenes of why and how I put this product together. I’m a HUGE advocate of creating your own products and I want to share with you what I’ve learned – good and bad – from creating a couple of products with my JV partners as well as creating my first solo product.

Secondly, we will be going through a blog transformation together. You’ll be able to watch this blog transform over the next 30 days with posts and videos around:

  • Your about me page
  • Resource box
  • Six ways to build your list from your blog
  • How to blog your passion
  • Create an opt-in offer that converts like crazy
  • …and so much more!

I’ll also be sharing some cool tools I use…both free and paid.

(Hypnotic fine print and legal crap…yes this blog earns me cash. If you click on a link and that link leads to a product that you want or NEED and you pull out your CREDIT CARD or log into your PAYPAL account to PURCHASE said product or service…I will earn a commission. Feel free to re-read hypnotic text 12 times or until you understand affiliate marketing. End hypnotic message)

Blogging Challenge Do’s and Don’ts

Do – Create a plan of action. You may already have heard  “plan your work and work your plan.” If you take the time to map out a blogging strategy like a road map, it will take you places. Without this map you just might wonder what you are going to do next.

Do – Stick to a timeline. Give yourself a timeline for creating publishing and syndicating your blog posts. Most of the posts I will be doing over the next 30, 60 and 90 days will be 400-600 words. A few of them will be pillar posts at maybe 800-1200 words. And some will be videos. Either way you’ll want to set aside the right amount of time so you don’t have to play the catch up game which usually leads to not doing anything.

Do Not – Procrastinate. From first hand experience this leads to chaos, frustration and missed goals. Hold yourself accountable and find a partner who can hold you accountable as well.

Do Not – Over think or over complicate the process. If you have your game plan then work it. Be OK with learning as you go. Take the action, rinse and repeat, and adjust when needed.

Now I have a challenge for you. I could use some help and support on this. Knowing myself as I do, I work better under pressure and with accountability. I believe most people would say the same as we often push off the things that we need to do when they are tough things or not fun anymore. Funny how when something is dressed in overalls and appears to be “work”, we tend to say…”I’ll get to it tomorrow.” Well, I feel like if we buy into that attitude then we’re literally robbing our community of our best. And when we live up to our best we show others how they can live up to their best.

So I’m hoping you can support me in my blogging challenge by holding me accountable to this goal of sharing my best with you on an almost daily basis. If you are ready to join me on this journey and soak up all that you can of what I have to offer, then I will extend you this trade. Join my newsletter and be one of the first to be notified when I publish my next blog post. Heck you might even be among the first to leave a comment. By leaving a comment, you can add YOUR VALUE and input on each post and others can be led back your great blog.

Hey Ken, this is going to be a great journey. I have an outline for my opt-in box, but have to complete this in 30 days. So this is a BIG challenge for me. I have been procrastinating too long with too many ideas. I’ve narrowed it down, tested it with my (Psychic client list) and it is working there. Now I want to take it a step further and pump up my blog. Thanks for the push.

    A suggestion on time: http://www.pomodorotechnique.com/
You can download the free book and it will show you how it works. Check out and see how in 25 minute blocks of time, you can accomplish so much more.

Go to the section that says “the book” and click on the download link and you can find out all about it. It is only 15 pages or so.
    Be in touch,
    Donna

    Hi Ken,
I like your point about planning and sticking to it. Many of us are so eager and excited in started out that we forget to plan. We just jump right into it (which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, of course).

Planning is great so u don’t have to worry about what you are going to do tomorrow because you already have the entire week’s work all figured out!

      Right you are Chrystal.

And with so much eye candy on the social sites it’s very easy to get distracted. Wasting 4 hours could be very frustrating. But if you are wondering around without a plan in place to move your business then it’s even worse and that’s where most people just give up and quite.
